How Much Time Do You Spend On Your Phone?

Have you ever wondered how much time you spend on social media or the amount of time you're on your phone in a day? This week I decided to track my screen time on my phone to see how much time in a day I use my phone. Before I go into the results, I can say I am not shocked or surprised by the results.

I decided to use my phone regularly and track the amount of screen time I used for each day. Below are the results for Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday this week:

As you can see in all three images above, I have spent 2 hours 41 minutes using my phone on Sunday, 5 hours 29 minutes on Monday, and 2 hours 33 minutes on Tuesday. The most amount of time I have used my phone during these three days was Monday. I was not surprised by these results because it was Eid Al-Fitr on Monday which is a holiday I celebrate. I did spend the day with family and was on social media contacting friends and family I was not able to see that day. I also did use social media a lot more that day because everyone was posting their pictures and videos of themselves celebrating Eid.

On Tuesday, I was on my phone the least amount of time. I typically am not on my phone as much during the week....unless I am binge watching a show haha. I do spend time after work working on school assignments or time with family which explains why I do not spend as much time on my phone.

Overall, I believe I am spending a reasonable amount of time on my phone each day. It shows I am balancing my phone/social media life with everyday life. Like I said before, unless I am watching a show on my phone or have an occasion where I am spending more time online, I am typically not using my phone as much. I do encourage you to try to monitor your screen time for a few days and analyze what that says about you. Self reflection with how much time you are spending online can help you realize what you are doing online and is it effecting your everyday life.
